Document Layout and Business Cards
While working in house with Copyzone, I had a lot of fun creating various guides for the National Trust. Nature, wildlife and the great outdoors being very much up my street.
Wedding Stationery
This was a fun challenge! I was asked to design some wedding invitations for a friend’s daughter and her fiancé. The original brief was that they wanted something a little different, a little ‘goth’, so I put some simple ideas foward. They then said that they wanted it to look like a rock concert ticket!
Metallic ink spot colours would have really been cost prohibitive, but we needed to inject something to give it that lift, so we printed this in normal cmyk on a pearlescent paper to create a metallic effect. Everyone loved the result!
Year books and breeder ads for dog clubs
Since I was a very small child I have been quite crazy about dogs, but I have particularly fallen in love with the incredible intelligence and sheer cheekiness of the weimaraner breed.
The Weimaraner Club of Great Britain supports owners and helps encourage responsible breeding for fit, able to work dogs, and holds many events throughout the year to showcase the breed’s incredible prowess in various dog sports. I have helped the club with many different projects over the years., including their website (in various forms as technology has progressed), and the 2011 and 2017 year books.
As well as design and layout of the entire books themselves, I also redrew the breed standard image, and created several ‘breeder ads’ for keen enthusiasts to show case their dogs.
